My Cupcakes!
These are my cupcakes, my babies!
I am very, very proud of my cakes in general, but these guys are my little ones. Every time someone takes a bite and closes their eyes in sheer bliss it just makes me happy!
So here they are, my little cakes, in creation order:
GINO
(The coffee one)
Small, dark and handsome. A passionate musician from the boot of the Mediterranean. Talented, athletic and charming. This delicious cupcake does not speak a lot of English, but one bite of his creamy, smoooth icing is enough to make you swoon.
Enjoys football, fresh pastries, art galleries and breathtaking sunsets.
Seeks a romantic with an appetite for Italian cuisine.
GWENDOLYN
(The vanilla one)
Gwendolyn is a lady, of this there is NO doubt. She is, in all situations and under all circumstances immaculate. Always dressed in her trademark silky cream outfit, and with her eye for detail, is never seen without her trademark dark chocolate accessory.
You will be the envy of all your friends with this cupcake in your company.
Are you up to her standards though?
GRADY
(The chocolate one)
He is your typical American 8yr old.
He likes bikes and rollerblades and scooters and playing at the beach and ice-cream and peanut butter and spaghetti and playing in the snow.
He DOESN’T like peas, cabbage or maths lessons with Miss Flibbert.
Grady is great fun, with a fantastic imagination for whatever journey you may want to take. With one bit you could go to the moon or just to the end of your garden, (just imagine where you’d be if you ate him all!)
Can you come out to play?
JULES
(The vanilla butter-cream one)
Jules is a successful inner city fashion designer with a taste for the unconventional.
World renowned for his ground breaking use of colour, this iconic social butterfly oozes glamour and celebrity, in more ways that one, despite enjoying a very private status in the world of the elite.
Are you bold enough?
I miss these… 😦
Today I was bought a slice of coffee and walnut cake at a stylish little coffee shop in town. Ironically, the person that bought it for me knew full well that I would be disappointed but they bought it with kindness as a treat. My tastebuds shrunk back as I savoured a very bland sponge which was complimented by a relatively small amount of icing. Although, to be fair, the taste of the icing was similar to Gino’s, it’s smoothness was not nearly in the same league. I will never eat cake like the cake I’ve had by the Cake Lady. All future cakes will ultimately be compared to these and I am convinced that they will all fall short of the baked bliss that are these truly delicious creations. I don’t even think the word “cake” does then justice. It is too simple, too generic, and it underrates just how mouth-watering they are.
My sweet tooth was delighted to be biting into Grady.
For me chocolate is the flavour a cupcake should be.
I look forward to meeting Jules in future…
well! what can i say, the 100 cup cakes mix flavours, and 10 top table muffins for the wedding, were delicious, they were eaten in no time. they travelled 40 miles and still looked perfect on arrival. Also the cake tasting session we had prior to order was a feast. thank u ever so much will order again xx
I personally adore Gwendolyn, when one needs a cake one must savour the delights of this amazing cake! There is no reason not to have one! May Gwednolyn live on forever! 🙂
Gino is my favourite!! All you coffee-loving ladies out there certainly won’t be disappointed by this smooth operator! He’ll positively woo your palate, flatter your taste buds, then like the true romeo that he is, he’ll leave you wanting more……and more…..
howdy! having been a taster of the cupcake i can verify everything written above. deeeeelish. oh and gee i hope you’re prepared to make some next week at mine! (nudge nuge wink wink)
Hmmm…i could just eat Jules now, and a good name actually- i bet it tastes better than Jules Verne books are to read. Honestly have you ever read 20 000 leagues? dreary as anything, but anywho- awesome looking cakes!
No, I haven’t read that actually. I think my Dad read it to me for a while but i don’t remember the ending. But, ANYWAY, this Jules is a lot more memorable!
I’m glad that you have had a chance to look through them all.
I will admit something here, my favourite is Gino!!! There are no words that I can find that are remotely adequate enough to describe how wonderful he tastes! :>:>
